The Halloween season is officially upon us! With a name like Hell’s Kitchen, you can bet there is plenty of Halloween fun in store in our neighborhood’s bars and clubs.. Most places in Hells Kitchen will be partying all weekend, for some extra special Halloween fun check out these events happening in other areas of the city.
And for a REAL haunted experience not too far from Riverbank, check out Hell’s Kitchen most haunted bar!
Landmark Tavern – One of the oldest bars in the city, Landmark Tavern is just a few minutes walk from your Riverbank apartment. Haunted by numerous ghosts, this 1868 tavern is even reported to have a few Civil War soldiers stillwalking around. With a charming yet spooky old atmosphere (above way above average pub food!) the Landmark Tavern is a great haunt for our residents any time of year – but especially in October.
Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla – Celebrate Autumn and Halloween all in one at the Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla festival in Central Park, Sunday, October 29th from 4pm – 7pm. Stroll the park to check out the beautiful Fall foliage, while taking part in pumpkin carving, Halloween crafts, and a costume parade. The event will conclude with the Pumpkin Flotilla, which sets jack-o-lanterns out to sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight.
NYC Village Halloween Parade- Put on your favorite costume and head downtown to the Village Halloween Parade! The parade will be taking place on Halloween, Tuesday October 31st from 7pm-10:30pm. Halloween fanatics across the city will gather at Sixth Ave. and Canal St to commence the parade that commemorates the ghoulish holiday. And if you’d rather not dress up in costume, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be apart of the party; stop by to marvel at the costumes and to take part in the fun.
